Fluid Composition

Fluid composition can be defined for each fluid type. Use the table to Add / Delete components. Only components defined in the Fluid Components Catalog can be added to the table. Click on the component cell to select the component from the list of pre-defined components; user-defined components must be added from the Catalog, which you can open using the Catalog button.

Composition information will be used to generate reports on fluid blending in the facility General Tab (Facility). Also, fluid components may be routed separately by defining out connectors in the facility Image Sub-Tab. If the components defined do not add up to 100 in the Percent % column, PetroVR will regard the difference as residual fluid. In such cases the facility receiving this fluid should have one out connector for residual fluids in the Image sub-tab.

Use the Type column to choose a definition method:

• Constant: Enter a constant percentage of fluid volume.
• Function: Define as a function by clicking the Edit Function button (see Function Editor).
• Table: Define a composition equivalence table of percent vs. dimensionless cumulative production (fractional recovery):
